International Student Ministry Worker

Hours: Full Time, 40-50 hours/week OR Part time

Location: New York City, New York

Purpose: To initiate Gospel centered relationships with international students from Unreached People Groups with the vision of planting multiplying simple churches.

Why/What

We are seeking dedicated and innovative team members with a passion to take the gospel to the thousands of international students from unreached people groups.  These graduate students, visiting scholars, and their families are away from their cultures and open to relationships and the love of Christ unlike any other time in their lives.  Our desire is to reach them with the gospel and see reproducing simple churches planted here and abroad.

Responsibilities

  • Lead English conversation groups and other ongoing activities to meet students
  • Initiate and implement innovative methods of serving international students from unreached people groups on campus
  • Meet with individual students in an intentional and timely manner to engage spiritual interest
  • Encourage spiritually interested students to gather their communities for Discovery Bible studies
  • Complete necessary personal and team administrative tasks to sustain ongoing student ministry

Qualifications

  • Ability to raise personal support as well as develop and manage personal ministry budget
  • Must have completed Equip or similar missionary training program
  • Bachelor degree in ministry preferred
  • Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Must agree with International Project’s Philosophy of Ministry and International Student Ministry Team’s Philosophy of Ministry
