Living Boldly

One of the main tools we are learning here this year at EQUIP is living out loud, what that means is to live a life that is full of light for Jesus in this dark world. Live a life that others want, and that they will ask about. Life a life that is different. This may seem easy, but in reality it is a reminder that we must tell ourselves daily. With the pressures of this world and especially NYC, it is easy to live in the ho hum daily routine. But as Christ followers we must understand the real meaning of 1 Peter 2:9:
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
It is this Mercy that makes us new each day. We must live our lives to show others what this mercy has done for us. We were not called by God to be a dim light. We were all called to be his children and glow in this dark world. So how do you fall in this spectrum? What areas of your life do you see needs to be changed and brightened? Are you living out loud in your faith?
