Christian Mission Trips
Bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to the Nations—without Leaving the US!
New York City (NYC) is our mission field because it is home to over 50 Unreached People Groups (UPGs) from around the world. Many have never heard the Gospel—but they are open to hearing it from you.
Join us for a Seed Week short term mission trip—an immersive, hands on Great Commission experience.
You’ll receive cross cultural training and practice engaging people in spiritual conversations.
Your volunteering helps long term missionaries connect with spiritually receptive people who are open to studying the Bible or learning more about God. These lead to intercultural church plants!
Our hope is that you will introduce people to Jesus so we can disciple them and plant churches through them.

Mission Trips 2026 FAQs
Who Are Seed Weed Mission Trips for?
Seed Weeks are for Christian adults who are looking for opportunities to share their faith and to help us spread the Gospel. While we may make an exception, typically college students, young adults, and other adults of any age group are welcome.
Want a youth group or high school program? See mission trips for teens here.
Where Are Your Mission Trips?
Our Seed Week mission trips happen in New York City where there are over 50 Unreached People Groups for you to minister to people from different cultures.
You’d be surprised that many newcomers are looking for opportunities to practice their English and are open to having spiritual conversations.
No visas or vaccinations required for Americans!
Why Do We Need Pre Trip Training Sessions?
We provide training to:
- Prepare you for the type of ministry you’ll be engaged in during Timothy Ambition
- Create team building opportunities for discussing expectations
- Pray together
- Bond as a team
For individuals joining a week without a group, we’ll still send you the pre trip training to adapt.
How Much Do Your Mission Trips Cost?
Our mission trips cost $200 per person for our programming.
For those who register before November 1, the fall before their trip, we offer a $25 early bird discount.
Transportation, lodging, meals, and tourism costs are not included, but we will send you recommendations on specifics when you sign up to learn more.
Who Will Coordinate the Seed Week Trip?
While each team will have a long term missionary acting as a ministry liaison for their group, teams need their own designated leader who will coordinate their trip details.
The team leader will be responsible for:
- Coordinating Transportation to NYC (booking airfare, flights, buying bus tickets, etc.)
- Arranging housing
- Collecting the program fee
- Facilitating pre trip training modules
Team leaders will be responsible for communicating with their missionary liaison in NYC.
The liaison from International Project will:
- Provide training materials
- Answer logistical questions
- Organize your team’s schedule and ministry locations

How Do You Handle Fundraising?
We let individual teams raise their funds as they see appropriate for our mission trip opportunities. We are always willing to help with fundraising ideas.
We also request that you recruit prayer partnerships in addition to financial support.
Each team is required to pay for each participant’s fees 3 months in advance of the start of your mission trip. We let you handle your own housing, food, and transportation to keep costs low.
What Is the Role of a Short Term Team?
Your team will engage in frontline evangelism, connecting with people who long term missionaries haven’t met yet. You’ll help find those open to hearing more about Jesus.
What Kind of Ministry Will Teams Experience and How Will This Ministry Help Long Term Missionaries in NYC?
The primary activity of Seed Week teams will be street evangelism to unbelievers from diaspora communities (individuals that long term missionaries have yet to interact with).
Each member of our short term mission team will learn how to initiate spiritual conversations with people in public spaces.
These interactions will help long term workers find individuals who are open to learning about Jesus and may also be interested in gathering friends/family to hear the Gospel.
These connections that you make are an important first step to discipleship.
Short term teams immeasurably help missionaries “sift” through large Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, and Sikh populations in the city, looking for spiritually open people.
If you are looking for mission work opportunities outside of the USA you can look at our international mission trips in Europe here.
Why Do a Mission Trip with International Project?
Over the course of this life changing week, you will not only help our long term teams make connections, but you will also learn effective tools to spread the Gospel in your own community.
You’ll get to be a part of planting churches among UPGs who then spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ back in their homelands (Africa, Middle East, Asia, etc.) where it’s illegal to do Christian missions.
